Johann Geirhos studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University Munich. Johann Geirhos has been working in the field of industrial property law since 1995. He worked 12 for years as Inhouse Counsel in the Patent Department of the Linde AG and subsequently for another 10 years as European and German Patent attorney with the patent law firm Geirhos and Waller. Johann Geirhos joined Patentship in 2017. His main areas of interest include mechanics, hydraulics, material handling, material science and automotive engineering. Johann Geirhos has profound experience in managing IP departments and IP portfolios for international companies, drafting and prosecuting German, European, US, JP and CN patent applications as well as in opposition and litigation proceedings. He is further highly experienced in licence negotiations, Employee invention law, and Freedom to Operate analyses.
