Dr. Stephan Binde obtained his degree in electrical engineering from Technical University of Darmstadt in 1991 in the field of control systems engineering and received a doctorate in 1996 for statistical signal processing research. He worked for Siemens Communications and Nokia Siemens Networks and has more than 10 years of experience in hardware and software development, systems engineering, system testing, and quality and project management within international project teams. Dr. Stephan Binde holds numerous patents in the fields of DSL, GSM, UMTS, ATM and IP networks. After working with an international law firm he joined PATENTSHIP in 2011.
His interests include wireline and wireless networks, speech and video codecs, data protocols, signal processors, microprocessors, DSP drivers, real-time operating systems, integrated circuits design, communications engineering, and control systems engineering.
