Dr. rer. nat. Dipl.-Phys. Conrad Cramphorn

Conrad Cramphorn studied physics at the University of Göttingen and spent one year with a scholarship at the University of California in Santa Cruz. He continued his studies at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics and received his doctorate from the University of Munich in the field of radiation processes in the vicinity of black holes. His research led to numerous publications in the in the field of theoretical astrophysics.

After being trained in a leading German IP firm and working as a patent attorney in all fields of physics since 2001, Conrad Cramphorn worked for several years in the division “Mobile Security” of the IP department of a German high tech company, where he has gained substantial experiences in the fields of mobile telecommunications, RFID and NFC technology, computer-implemented inventions, smart-card security, secure cloud services and applied cryptography. His activities include various aspects of German, European and international intellectual property law, including filing, prosecution, opposition and appeal proceedings, as well as patent litigation and freedom-to operate opinions.

Being of both nationalities Conrad Cramphorn is fluent in German and English. He is a member of EPI and GRUR.
